Close Your Eyes

Hello. Melissa here. I had this dream two nights ago, so, here it goes:
I step outside onto my front lawn. Deep snow covers the ground, but I'm not wearing any shoes. I look down my block and I see my neighbor getting out of her car. I turn back and I see my dad in the driveway, he told me the paranormal guy had died and that the funeral is today. I blink and I'm still in my driveway, however, the snow is gone, and is replaced with thick green grass. I see the hearst coming down my block and my dad tells me that he has to go. I tell him that I'll go with him,so I jog to my front door and my mom opens it. She tells me that she can't make it , but that I'll see her later. I shut the door and get into the car and we drive away.
The next thing I know im at the funeral parlor, which is the back room of a discount store. I tell my dad that I can't go inside without shoes but I'll meet him in there shortly. Suddenly, my mom appears and she says that at the store here, that there are sure to be shoes for sale. I tell her thanks and her and my dad make their way to the backroom, where I see flowers and funeral wreaths in the distance. I jog past the isles of glass vases to the clerk at the counter, and he directs me to where the shoes are. In the shoe isle, there are different pairs of vividly colored shoes, but some are still plain. I pick up a red and pink swirly shoe with a heel, and look at the price tag, it says $7.50. I put the shoe down and look at a black cushy flip flip for $2.00, the size is 8.5 but the shoe is way too big. I put that shoe down as well. From the corner of my eye, I see another shoe, a simple black heel, I try it on and it fits. I put on the shoes and walk to the backroom where the funeral is occurring. I see my parents walking out that It's time to go. Before we leave, I tell them that we should look at the glass vases. Then I wake up.

Step inside the Dreamcloud....

Hello. This is Melissa writing,to welcome this new blog. Here, as Jess wrote, you can find our dreams, interpretations, thoughts, and other sleep notions.
Dreaming is an experience like no other, and dreams themselves are such a unique part of life. They allow us for a moment,to step inside alternate realities-where anything is possible and everything is unexpected. You never know what awaits you when you close your eyes and fall asleep-dreams are unpredictable. In some ways, dreams allow us to explore and learn about ourselves in aspects that we normally wouldn't discover in our normal day to day lives. In other ways, dreams are a way that we can reflect on,be fascinated with, to be entertained, or maybe even an inspiration for a creative outlet. So, I ask you, as you read this blog, check all boundaries at the door, open your mind, and fluff up that pillow. It's going to be an interesting ride.

Welcome to the Dreamscape

Hello! Jessie writing here =]. This is the first entry on our dream blog. The title of the blog was a collaboration of ideas from the two of us. The word dreamscape was Melissa's so I found it fitting for the first entry title. Purple was a color we chose mutually and I feel like the layout here is very dreamy. It's almost what I picture a "dreamscape" may look like. Very beautiful, almost life-like, yet evocative in the sense that it is an illusion. For a long time Meliss and I have been blogging, switching sites every once in a while. We both like to write and it seems whenever we talk, we tell eachother about a dream one of us had. So I guess I'll start this first entry off with a dream I had during my catnap today:

I was sitting in a dark blue 2004 Honda Accent, parked at the curb and waiting for my fate. My fate came in the form of an overweight hard-faced man with wispy white hair. He was carrying coffee, a doughnut, and a clipboard beneath his arm. He stepped into the car and I greeted him with a "Hello, how are you sir?" but he just stared at me in a cold silence. So I start the car and start driving away from the curb and to the corner of the street. When I get to the stop sign he tells me to make a right so I go to turn my right signal on... and it's stuck. It's not working at all! There are a bunch of cars behind me and they start honking loudly for me to go. Without a choice, I make the right turn... the signal still isn't working. The man sitting next to me scowls and tells me to pull over to the curb. He reaches over to the signaling lever and when he touches it.. it works perfectly fine! Then I realize he's staring at me. I look down and realize that my seatbelt isn't buckled. He hands me a paper, walks out of the car and slams the door. I look at the paper and in giant red block letters it reads FAIL.

Then I woke up. So that was more of a nightmare than a dream. But it's time for me to go get some shuteye and hopefully have some nice dreams. Good night!
